Birds should be kept out of direct sunlight and drafty spaces that may have fluctuating temperatures. Also, your bird has several toxicities that you should be aware of. Avoid giving your bird chocolate, avocados, onions, fruit pits and fresh seeds such as apple, orange, or grape seeds, milk products, caffeine, or alcohol. Don't expose your bird to smoke, aerosol products or scented candles as these can slowly and painfully affect your bird detrimentally.
